Enclosed by the alpine summits and the Mediterranean coast, this region is full of contrasts, following the rhythm it of her nature and her culture. Back to back with the massif des Ecrins, the Provence opens out her charms voluptuously until the coastline: in the heart of the plâteaux of the Haute-Provence where grows the olive tree, vine and lavender; with the passing of the rice fields of Camargue where the Rhone stretches with languor; through the medieval villages situated at the flanks of the Lubéron or in the hills of the Var.
Feasts and traditions are omnipresent: feasts taurines, bravados, feast of lavender, feast of the transhumance… The region possesses a treasure of greeds with a very fragrant kitchen, enough to delight the most demanding gourmets.
What characterizes most the Provence is a style of life where legends and myths, dances and feasts, costumes and customs are faithfully maintained and protected.
